U.S. Army Visits Local High School

COMPTON, Calif. -- Day two of the U.S. Army high school assemblies was a success! The Dominguez Dons happily opened up their high school doors and welcomed the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus. Once again, an amazing performance by the U.S. troops. They sang their own renditions of The Temptations’ “My Girl”, Lynayrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama”, and James Taylor’s “Carolina In My Mind”, along with songs that hit close to home because of their military background, such as, “God Bless America” and “Proud To Be An American.”

"Under the Boardwalk"

"God Bless the U.S.A"

The U.S. Army teamed up with the Urban Youth Academy and donated $1,500 to Mrs. Lolita Carter and the Dominguez High School Band.
