Question: Who was the first player to be named MVP of a world series?

The first World Series MVP award was given to pitcher John Podres of the Brooklyn Dodgers after the 1955 World Series won by the Dodgers, 4 games to 3, over the New York Yankees. Podres started and won two games in the Series, including pitching a shutout in Game 7.

Trivia Question: How many World Series home runs did Mickey Mantle hit?
Mickey Mantel hit 18 World Series home runs, which still stands as a record. He is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. Mantle was elected in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
